焰火

夜幕是它的畫布，

漆黑里綻放出驚鴻的火光；

是一瞬間，或許也是永恒，

把半空染成灼亮的花園。

熾熱的花瓣，盛開又凋零，

隨風化作片片余燼；

回望處，只有微微顫動的夜色，

是永恒，也是一瞬。

THE FLOWER OF FIREWORKS

Night drapes its canvas,

A sudden blaze bursts through the silent dark;  

In a single flash—or perhaps for all time,

It dyes the sky into a blazing garden.

Scorching petals bloom, then fade,

Falling away as drifting embers on the wind;

Turn back, 

and only the faint trembling of night remains—

Eternity, held in a moment’s breath.
