對于散居世界各地的“亞洲”藝術家來說，他們的身份是共享的。在保持這個固有身份之時，西方的文化、哲學、藝術運動等經歷都在不同程度上影響著他們的創作。“根”正在不斷移動、生長、蔓延。這些”混合“的跨國實踐是否解決了不僅限于”亞洲”的問題？什么是亞洲性？亞洲藝術的舞臺正在悄然變化。在面對哪里有真正的亞洲藝術這個聲音時，藝術家如何用藝術實踐來代表或證明？此次展覽是在全球化侵染下年輕一代亞洲藝術家的態度樣本。旨在去除并揭開對“亞洲藝術”的一般看法的神秘面紗和重新定其傳統理解。并重新開啟關于“身份”和“亞洲性”的討論。

It is a shared identity for artists from 'Asia' who have left their homeland. With their experiences of Western culture, philosophy, and art movements all influencing their work to varying degrees, their roots continue to grow and spread. Whether these hybrid artistic practices address the issue that were not limited to those in Asia? What is Asianness? Is there a correct answer to the question of what is truly Asian art? Can we define these artists who have migrated or moved away from their homelands with the label of 'nomad'? In addition, what is their personal identity label? Regardless of the reasons for their migration, Asian artists in the diaspora in the Western world need to reflect not only on their cultural identity - due to the geographical distance from their homeland - but also on their personal experiences while away from their home countries, while maintaining their inherent identity as 'Asian'.  This exhibition is a sampling of the attitudes of a younger generation of Asian artists as a result of globalisation. The exhibition aims to break the boundaries as the exhibition reclassify and demystify general perception of what ‘Asian Art’ is. And to reopen the discussion on “identity” and “Asianness”.
