所有參加第七屆“熱雪”的朋友們,在此可以驕傲地彼此祝賀!干杯,為我們的奇跡!
在寒冷的冬天,我們來自世界的各個角落的人,匯集于傳奇中神秘的內蒙古大草原,實現我們的夢想和期待。時值新年將至,你們離開了家人,懷著一腔熱血走進這片偉大的土地,匯集在這里的各國藝術家一起完成了跨年“熱雪”藝術活動,同時也緊緊擁抱著自然,人類和當下處境,無論路途多么艱辛,困難重重,我們還是走過來了。藝術家們一路實施創作,交流思想,傳播友誼,建造了我們人生共同的藝術大家庭,我相信這段友情將成為我們未來的儲備和動力。
現場一開始,當看到已經重感冒的印尼藝術家Entri仍然用身體挑戰寒冷,與冰凍的鐵門抗爭,我為其奮不顧身而感動;當Gilivanka在表演中淚流滿面,我理解她歸家的心境和深情的愛戀。日本藝術家Tanaka帶著贖罪的心里,以行為藝術表達日本人對內蒙古的歷史歉意,我們感到了他的真心;Fausto的一個沒有吸氧的夜晚,意味著他是冒著死的危險來到大草原的!
Tomasz 在最后登機時發出他正式離開的宣言,可見他對在這段時間的每分每秒的珍惜;當看到Vasan回到曼谷家中的留言,可以感覺到他仍余興未消,心里還掛念著內蒙古;還有Beate在活動結束后,干脆留了一大段時間在北京,她對中國太迷戀了。外國藝術家朋友們對內蒙草原如此熱愛,對能多在中國停留如此珍重,卻不禁讓我們為這里的種種禁令和設限感到非常抱歉。但無論如何,這次的“熱雪”七曲十八彎,風云多變,驚喜交加,一定給大家增長了見識,豐富了經歷,由此,這次“熱雪”變得尤其特別而更顯精彩。
值得贊頌的中國藝術家們,每一位都全心投入創作,呈現出亮眼的作品,并且適時關照整體,主動為國際藝術家提供方便。在這里向來到熱雪內蒙古現場創作的中國當代藝術家李占洋、李勇政、吳高鐘、片山空、鄧震、嚴隱鴻、朱發東、王文浩、張丹等致敬!也向鞍前馬后奔忙做貢獻的郝銳昌、鄧震、王文浩、李振鵬致以感謝!謝謝這次從事翻譯工作的張雪飛和李冬梅女士,還有攝影師張亞龍。也謝謝親臨現場觀察與直播的批評家徐旭先生與丁雪峰先生;最后要嚴重感謝的是藝術節發起人、行為藝術家楊德忠和他的團隊!還有要深謝我們的朋友,招和營地的支持者電影人顧桃先生與他的團隊、海燕夫妻!
我們的藝術節結束了,但我們的擔憂仍然無法釋懷!我們有兩天在希拉穆仁草原(招和)- 顧桃,海燕的營地停留,我們獲得了他們的熱情款待和大力支持,不料最終卻給他們帶來了巨大的麻煩。顧桃等正在爭取力求改變這一處境,現在還在交涉中,事情還沒結果。我們仍然翹首關注,現在我們只有祈求老天保佑我們的兄弟姐妹安然無恙!我們在世界各地翹首關注在希拉穆仁草原的朋友們!!
我們沒有錯,藝術沒有錯,沒有人有錯,錯就錯在冷漠與誤解!在當代藝術為主流價值觀的國際藝壇,行為藝術,現場藝術尤其具有先鋒性和實踐性,這在近年國際雙年展和權威性當代藝術大展上頻頻獲獎可以見證。我們反抗閉關自守,拒絕倒退!因此我們更要堅定地行走在廣闊的天地中,聯合國際藝術家理論家一道進行現場藝術交流與創作,實現當代藝術的社會雕塑理念,以持續的實踐和公眾互動促進人的思維更新和人與人之間的情感溝通,傳播人類文明和當代藝術的新智慧,讓冰雪融化,熱血沸騰!
我們只有不斷努力,才能進而消除隔閡,達到減少愚昧,互相尊重,溝通與共融,彼此相親相愛。

Letter to the artist
All the friends who participated in the 7th "Burnt of Snow" can congratulate each other proudly! Cheers, for our miracle!
In the cold winter, we come from all corners of the world to gather in the legendary and mysterious Inner Mongolia steppe to realize our dreams and expectations. As the New Year is approaching, you have left your family and walked into this great land with a hot blooded enthusiasm. Artists from all countries gathered here have completed the New Year's "Burnt of Snow" art activity, while hugging nature, other human beings and the current situation tightly, no matter how hard and difficult the road is, we still come. The artists impleted creations, exchanged ideas, and spread friendship along the way, building an artistic family that is common to our lives. I believe this friendship will become our future reserior and motivation.
At the beginning of the scene, when I saw Indonesian artist Entri challenging the cold with his body and fighting against the frozen iron gate, I was touched by it. When Gilivanka burst into tears during the performance, I understood her homecoming feeling and affectionate love. Japanese artist Tanaka took the sinful heart to express apology for Japanese invasion of Inner Mongolia with performance art. We could feel his sincerity; when Fausto experienced a night without his respirator, grasing for air and facing the risk of death!
Tomasz issued a declaration of his official departure when he finally boarded the plane, showing his cherishment for every minute of this time in Hohhot;when the message that Vasan returned to his home in Bangkok, he could still feel Inner Mongolia in his heart; and Beate simply stayed in Beijing for a long time after the event. She was too fascinated by China. Friends of foreign artists are so enthusiastic about the Inner Mongolia and appreciate their stay in China, I have to apologize for the various obsticles and restrictions here. Thank you for your understanding and sincerity. But no matter what, this "Burnt of Snow" is full of changes and surprises. It will definitely give you more insights and enrich your experience. As a result, this time the "Burnt of Snow" has become particularly special and wonderful.
The commendable Chinese artists, each devoted themselves to creating, presenting dazzling works, taking care of the whole at the right time, proactively providing convenience to international artists. Here, pay tribute to the Chinese contemporary artists Li Zhanyang, Li Yongzheng, Wu Gaozhong, Pian Shankong, Deng Zhen, Yan Yinhong, Zhu Fadong, Wang Wenhao, and Zhang Dan who came to the scene in Rexue Inner Mongolia! I would also like to thank Hao Ruichang, Deng Zhen, Wang Wenhao, and Chen Zhenpeng who have contributed in front of and behind the event! Thank you for translating this time, Ms. Zhang Xuefei and Ms. Li Dongmei, as well as the photographer Zhang Yalong. Thank you also to the critics Xu Xu and Ding Xuefeng who came to observe and broadcast live; Finally, I would like to thank gravely the performance artist Yang Dezhong and his corporate team. We also want to thank our friends, Mr. Gu Tao, the supporter of Zhaohe Camp, and his team, Haiyan and her husband.
Our live art festival is over, but our worries are still beyond relief! We stayed two days in the grassland of Hillamuren steppe(Zhaohe)-Gu Tao, Haiyan's camp. We received their warm hospitality and strong support, but eventually brought them huge trouble. Gu Tao and others are still fighting to change this situation. Negotiations are still ongoing and things have not come to fruition. We are still paying attention, and now we can only pray for our brothers and sisters! We are realy concerned for our friends in Hillamuren, our prayers come from artists around the world! !!
We are not wrong, art is innocent, no one is wrong, and mistakes are ignorance and misunderstanding! In the international art world where contemporary art is the mainstream value, performance art and live art are particularly avant-garde and practical. This can be witnessed frequently in recent years at international biennials and authoritative contemporary art exhibitions. We resist exclusion and refuse to go backwards! Therefore, we must firmly walk in the vast world, and cooperate with international artists and art theorists to carry out on-site art exchanges and creations, and realize the concept of social sculpture by Joseph Beuys. With continuous practice and public interaction, we will promote updating of people's thinking and their emotional communication, spreading the new wisdom of human civilization and contemporary art, melting snow and ice, boiling blood!
Only through continuous efforts we can further eliminate the gap, reduce ignorance, respect each other, communicate and understanding, and love each other.

I could have sworn I broke the Chinese Law. I walked completely naked in the middle of a tourist street of the capital city of Inner Mongolia, at -25 ° C, warmed up exclusively by bodies of my colleagues. There is no evidence though, so it never happened.

Where are you Darling? (Xilamuren, 2020)
Two artists and lovers braided each other’s hair for seven hours plus one final hour open for public. After some time passed, they walked from different ends of the Chinese Great Wall to meet in the middle, break up and split ways forever.
I am in China now. Tethered to the white horse, I bow to the endless steppes of Inner Mongolia.

The Miracle of Power and the Power of Miracles (Xilamuren, 2020)
Earth: broken red brick. Water: contaminated snow melted on the human body. Fire: lighter and cigarette smoke evoking and polluting Air. In a Mongolian yurt, a lecture with demonstrations on the relationship between us and classical elements, offense and punishment, miracles and power.
Although the majority was lost in translation, viewers have concluded:
"POWER BECOMES ARROGANT" and there is nothing wonderful about it.

2020年元旦下午,在零下二十幾度寒冬的內蒙古格根塔拉草原上,我身穿一身夏裝(冰絲背心,亞麻短袖、短褲套裝,涼皮鞋),手拿一張印著今年活動安排表的復印紙,在厚厚的冰雪路上來回行走并突然摔倒,以此來回應我去年元旦在此地附近用復印紙做大地裝置作品《海闊天空》時遭受到的敵意待遇。后來的事實證明,在某些特定人群的眼里,不僅我是這里“不合時宜的訪客”,我們所有人都是這里“不合時宜的訪客”!廣而言之,從事行為藝術、甚至當代藝術的從業者,在中國這樣一個藝術教育極度貧乏又充滿偏見的國度,是不怎么受待見的,特別是在政治敏感、思想保守的首都北京,大批各類藝術區的“當代藝術從業者”因為自由和批判的態度成了這個時代、這個地區“不合時宜的訪客”,不斷面臨被拆遷、被驅趕的命運。
同時,這個作品也是2019年盛夏我在意大利第58屆威尼斯雙年展上穿著冬裝做的“《不合時宜的訪客》之一”的一個互補版本。在世界當代藝術領域,中國的某些所謂當代藝術,特別是官方藝術,又因其落后和保守的思想,成了這里另一群“不合時宜的訪客”。

On the afternoon of New Year's Day in 2020, I was wearing a summer dress (ice silk vest, linen short sleeves, shorts suit, sandals) on the Gengentala grassland in Inner Mongolia in the cold winter minus -20 degrees. The copy paper of the schedule was walking back and forth on the thick snow and ice road and suddenly fell down, in response to the hostile treatment I suffered when I used the copy paper to make the earth installation "Sea Wide as Sky" near this place on New Year's Day last year. Later, it turned out that in the eyes of certain groups of people, not only am I an "outdated visitor" here, we are all "outdated visitors" here! Broadly speaking, practitioners engaged in performance art and even contemporary art are rarely seen in a country where art education is extremely poor and full of prejudice, especially in the politically sensitive and conservative capital Beijing. A large number of "contemporary art practitioners" in various art districts have become "untimely visitors" of this era and this area because of their free and critical attitude, and are constantly facing the fate of being demolished and expelled.
At the same time, this work is also a complementary version of "One of the Untimely Visitors" I wore in winter clothes at the 58th Venice Biennale in Italy in the middle of summer 2019. In the field of contemporary art in the world, some so-called contemporary art in China, especially official art, has become another group of "outdated visitors" due to its backward and conservative thinking.

行為過程:在有殘雪的草地中,立一兩米高木樁,木樁上端裝一軸承,將一涂了金色顏料的長草繩接在軸承上,木樁頂部蓋一紅色毛巾。我穿著軍大衣、雷鋒帽,手拿“東方紅”牌收音機走向木樁,然后打開收音機,調到“新聞頻道”并將它掛在木樁上。接著我用金色草繩將自己的頭部與眼睛纏住,開始在看不見的情況下沿著木樁和收音機順時針繞圈盲走,并逐漸開始奔跑。終于,草繩在越來越大的離心力下突然脆斷,我猝不及防地摔了幾個跟頭。其后,在眼周微光和收音機若有若無的指引下,我又摸回了木樁與收音機。為了聽得更清楚,我將仍綁在頭上和眼前的金色草繩掙脫掉,我再次撿起地上的收音機,放在耳邊細細收聽,又低頭看看腳下掙斷的草繩,我突然意識到了什么,毅然決然地將收音機丟棄了雪地上,頭也不回地向著廣闊草原深處飛奔而去…

action process: In the grass with residual snow, stand a pile of one or two meters tall, a bearing is mounted on the end of the pile, a long grass rope coated with golden paint is connected to the bearing, and a red towel is covered on the top of the pile. I was wearing a military coat, a Lei Feng hat, holding an "Oriental Red" radio in front of a stake, then turned on the radio, tuned to "News Channel" and hung it on the stake. Then I wrapped my head with my eyes with a golden straw rope, and began to walk blindly along the stakes and the radio clockwise around invisible, and gradually started to run. Finally, the straw rope suddenly broke under the increasing centrifugal force, and I caught a few heads off guard. Then, under the guidance of the dim light around my eyes and the radio, I touched the stake and the radio again. In order to hear more clearly, I broke off the golden straw rope that was still tied to my head and in front of me. I picked up the radio on the ground again, listened in my ear, and looked down at the broken straw rope under my feet. I Suddenly realized something, resolutely dropped the radio on the snow, and flew towards the depths of the vast grassland without looking back ...

行為過程:在內蒙古某村莊一處遍布垃圾、結冰的死水潭,冬日的冰潭上面覆蓋了一層白雪,我身著白色的連身塑料防護服,將四個熱水瓶的熱水和兩個塑料桶的新鮮羊血一并倒入一塑料箱中攪拌好。然后戴著白色手套,一手執一個只有一半木柄的白色拖把蘸滿羊血,在雪地上奮力寫了一個巨大的“狼”字!并將箱底果凍狀血漿用手復涂于“狼”字之上。
之后,我倒臥在血字之上,等待著提前約定好的在水潭南面吃草的七十頭羊從血字和我身體上穿越過去。
我閉上眼睛、一動不動,忍著頭皮被冰面凍得生疼的極限,卻一直沒等到羊群的到來,后來才知道,平時溫順聽話的羊群在羊倌的驅趕下,怎么也不肯從血字和我身上穿過,在警覺地后退和長時間的原地徘徊后,領頭羊最終帶領羊群從血字旁邊排隊穿過,從一條新路爬上高坡回了羊圈。
這震撼的一幕超出了我們所有人的預料…
天色將晚,大家歸心似箭,我還沒想好血字該如何處理,就不得不棄之而去,一路耿耿于懷…
回到呼市的第二天午后,一場毫無征兆的鵝毛大雪倏然而至,這不就是我夢想的結局嗎?真是一個意外的驚喜!我迅即跳上了開往現場的車,卻也開啟了一段兩個多小時驚心動魄的危險之旅!
終于,我順利到達現場并完美見證和記錄下了血“狼”被大雪逐步覆蓋的過程,一切都消失了,就如沒發生一樣!我終于長出了一口氣。這時天色也全黑了,國道因大雪封閉,我這才意識到,更為兇險的回程擺在了我的面前!可能冥冥之中這次真的有神相助,在經歷了“幾乎不可能”的各種驚險路段之后,我從“鬼門關”安全地回到了呼市,在接近尾聲的歡送宴上,大家用歌聲歡呼著我的歸來。
