朱發東

1960 出生于中國云南省昆明市東川區

1985 畢業于云南藝術學院

1994年至今工作和生活在北京

他以開放的態度廣泛采用各種手段，以跨領域的方式呈現出當代中國社會所面  臨的問題，1993年，他因“尋人啟事”一舉成名。之后的“此人出 售”，“生活方式”，“身份證”，“讓朱發東同志先走”，以及后來的 硫酸紙系列，VISA系列等作品使他受到中國及國際藝術界的廣泛關注。迄今舉辦個展20多各次， 群展及聯展200多次，作品被很多國家的美術館、藝術機構及重要私人收藏家收藏，包括香港M+美術館、澳大利亞白兔美術館、法國Dslcollection 藝術基金會、烏利.希克、尤倫斯夫婦、嚴陸根、孫永增、黃燎原、、Febion Fryns、北京山海美術館、陳小兵等。

1960 Born in Dong Chuan Prefecture, Kunming, Yunnan Province

1985 Graduated from Yunanna Arts University

1994-present work and reside in Beijing

With an open mind, Dong Fa Zhu widely used various means to present the current social problems in China. In 1993, he became famous for his artwork titled A Plea for a Missing Person. Later on, he became known to both domestic and international arts circles by his other works such as This Person is for Sale, Lifestyle, ID Card, the series of sulfuric acid paper, and so forth. He has held more than twenty solo exhibitions and two hundred plus group exhibitions and joint exhibitions. Also, his artworks have been collected by many national arts galleries, institutes and private collectors all around the world, including M+ Arts Gallery in Hongkong, White Rabbits Art Museum in Australia, Dslcollection Arts Association in France, Shan Hai Guan Arts Museum in China, Uli Hick, the couple Jurens, Lu Gen Yan, Liao Yuan Huang, and so forth.
