有的像沸騰水中的泡泡、有些像起化學反映時的泡泡、像瓷器表面在顯微鏡下的氣泡、有的像細胞，華鳥稱之為“子”的泡泡，時而變形、或收縮、又或消失，時而不斷地增多增大，形成了我們看到華鳥《宇宙系列》的印象。猶如一場旅行，揭示出不可感知的領域，在她對“宇宙”的思考中，產生的概念和符號，重新引入我們的視覺世界中。

《宇宙系列》由210副作品，分七個篇章，每篇30幅組成。第一篇：誕之篇Birth，第二篇：交之篇 Communication，第三篇：奏之篇 Performance ，第四篇：升之篇 Sublimation，第五篇：合之篇 Connection ，第六篇：護之篇 Protection ，第七篇：再生篇（滅之篇） Decrease。

 畫面從虛無渺茫中，時空開始建立。在深藍色底色里，生機勃勃的泡泡出現了。華鳥命名這些作品：1）創生時的子，2）圍繞子的衍生，3）沖出綠體的物質，4）白熱化的創生的光，5）混沌中的信息交流，6）威脅下的會合。7）向往明天的千子等，30副作品構成了開篇——第一篇：誕之篇  Birth 。

華鳥用柔和的橙黃底色為襯托，物體運動像自發的、或它發的，妥協的、或拒絕的，穩定的、或不安的，偶然的、或必然的，從相互之間的引力，到交流、交信、交配和結合。華鳥從積累的知識中吸收養分，提取要素，成就了第二篇：交之篇 Communication的作品—— 1）自然的會合，2）展望未來的快感，3）交合的鐘聲，4）渾濁中的快樂，5）武裝了的情愛，6）失去自我，7）帶給想念的回報。

一種劇烈的時空發生變遷中，華鳥用淺淡的五彩作背景，描繪了在各種運動的主動性或被動性、突變或異變。猶如各種物質遵循各自的規律，在明快的旋律中運動、飛揚、曼舞。第三篇：奏之篇 Performance，作品：1）失去記憶的旋律，2）傲慢中曼舞，3）無風中的跳舞，4）奏給流失的旋律，5）自豪不拒絕飄逸，6）輕快地躍動，7）悲傷中的旋舞，產生了更加豐富多彩的世界。

有的物質或生命體繼續保留其原始的本質，有的在變形或變態后，與新的物質或生命體結合，產生另一種新的物質或生命體，持續的膨脹，繼續著它們之間的吸引、或排斥、或結合、又或分離。這是一個紅火的全盛時期，即第四篇：升之篇 Sublimation，成為30副的那組：1）哄笑方塊的頑固，2）逃脫環鎖，3）憂愁的樂園，4）抵抗降落，5）消除降落的雜念，6）越過厚壁，7）不斷重復那些升級的組合。

畫面中的物體不斷進行著組合、或排斥，這從誕生的時候開始從未間斷，通過不斷的重復，變得更加多樣化，有的穿插而過，有的包容吞食。第五篇：合之篇 Connection ，1）融合的預感，2）熱烈的接吻，3）期待變形后的重逢，4）無情中的情愛，5）雜念后的足跡，6）拼接后試圖重新組合，7）新物種的分離和組配。

在第六篇：護之篇 Protection 中，華鳥描繪了：1）攻擊偏愛和抵御作對，2）不出一擊，盡得風流，3）神韻于心，坍縮無心，4）自行刺激與張力走向另一端，5）格式化的膨脹的力量，6）擴展滋生抗爭的源泉，7）抗拒享受余韻。生命的維護不僅是對自身衰退的抵御，也是對襲擊而來的其他物質的抵抗。如果適應不了，那么淘汰就等候在那里。

出生于上海，在中國、歐洲和日本學習和生活過的華鳥，是一位多產而勤奮的藝術家。其作品的人文情懷、創作探討、以及在融會貫通東西的層面上，都可以作為一段藝術史研究的對象。

有趣的是，華鳥自幼習字丹青，后就讀于新聞系，直到2006年才開始稱自己為“藝術家”。她會特意去參加一些論壇，傾聽似乎與藝術無關的論題，如區塊鏈、生態環境對人居環境的影響。她的知識更新的速度很快，就像一個塑料袋需要幾百年才能降解的新聞對她的沖擊那樣，時刻將觸發出一個新的系列作品。

自然以及人文中的各種元素，依然是她在藝術上的敘述結構中各種部件。她在創作《宇宙系列》時，特意用宣紙（三層夾宣）、礦物質等國畫顏料為基礎，描繪出絢麗斑斕的“宇宙系列”，實現了她的一個理念：由傳統的養成，并非是可以選擇的；非傳統性的創作，是自身必選的。華鳥以其觀察和思考，依著內心的呼喚為背景，在傳統中國畫材料上發揮了前所未有的技巧，用圖像表達出深厚而神秘的藝術生命的價值。

作為藝術生產者的藝術家華鳥：于自身創作方法論上的嘗試和完善，于個人風格與時代語境相碰撞上的變化，形成了各種符號，這種打破自我形式的藝術創作活動，時而呈現出最美好而靚麗的一面，時而又不放棄最晦暗而沉重的一面，于其藝術生涯中從未停滯，并將其創意推廣到大眾面前。

 華鳥的作品無論是創作手法還是呈現的面貌都很時代化，主題晦澀而富含詩意，隱含著一種飽含內心甜酸苦辣的記憶和精神世界的開放性個人史感。《宇宙系列》讓我們重新認識“宇宙”，并思考中國畫在繪畫中位置以及新的可能性。就像任何藝術一樣，最終都是人類想象力極限的證明。

華鳥 Hua Niao

自幼丹青。留學日本和英國。碩士。2000年起舉辦個展。2012年"風華絕代--華鳥書畫藝術展"(無錫博物館)，"亞洲畫廊藝術博覽會--中日韓精品展"（上海展覽中心）等國內外藝術展，作品被國內外博物院、美術館、機構以及藏家收藏。2009年入選《中國優秀藝術家油畫排行榜500位》。2016年任北京大學特任講師、亞太杰出女性聯合會文化顧問/藝術顧問。2017年被評為《國家一級美術師》。世界一帶一路基金會/世界一帶一路組織執行副秘書長。2018全球人居環境論壇教科文委員會委員。
