劉力國取材于紅色經典時代的著名同名作品《毛主席去安源》?!睹飨グ苍础穯柺烙?967年“毛主席思想光輝照亮安源”畫展。1969年,《毛主席去安源》一畫被移交給中國革命博物館收藏。而此件作品則將青年毛澤東的形象符號化,身著花衣,頭帶花簪 ,手持花紅雨傘。具體而生動,作者有意與紅色經典形成悖論,徹底走下神壇,而是以人的形象化來進行藝術處理的,獨具匠心。

Liu Liguo got his inspiration from the famous Cultural Revolution period work “president Mao’s Going to Anyuan”. “president Mao’s Going to Anyuan” was published in the exhibition of “president Maos Thoughts Illuminating Anyuan” in 1967. In 1969, “president Mao’s Going to Anyuan” was turned over to the Chinese Revolutionary Museum, becoming a part of their permanent collection. The work symbolizes the image of young Mao Zedong, who was in a bright cloth with a flower hairpin on the head and a flower red umbrella on one hand. The concrete and vivid character indicates that the artist is intentionally contrasting his work to the ideologies of the Cultural Revolution. Mao Zedong has been knocked off from his pedestal in a very human form. This is Liu Liguo’s creative answer to dealing with art.
